The faculty of Business & General Studies specializes in providing students with the requisite knowledge and skills required for managing a business in an ever changing world. Graduates are equipped with both the theoretical and practical knowledge which will enable them to become entrepreneurs and or move on to further studies.

Programme Outcomes: Depending on the area of specialization, graduates are prepared for a wide variety of challenging and rewarding positions in such fields as accountancy, actuary and business; banking, investments, corporate financial management, insurance, real estate, financial planning, economic research and market analysis; personal selling, retailing, advertising, product development, manufacturing, social media, distribution and market research; and manufacturing, public utilities, and transportation, merchandising and banking, as well as government and non-profit entities.
Entry Requirements: Successful completion of the Associate Degree in Business Studies or other relevant Associate Degrees issued by the CCCJ. Consideration will be given to candidates with Associate degrees from other accredited institutions subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ. Mature status as determined by the CCCJ.

Programme Outcomes: Graduates will be prepared for entry-level professional positions in management and other business related employment opportunities in the areas of accountancy, actuary, advertising, banking, economics, event management, entrepreneurship (small business), finance and administration, hospitality, HR management, marketing, public relations, purchasing and procurement, retailing and distribution, transport and logistics and travel and tourism.
Entry Requirements: 5 CSEC/CXC subjects Gen. I, II, III or GCE O’ Level– A, B, C, in English Language and Mathematics and 3 other approved subjects. (Students without CXC of GCE Math are required to sit the Foundation Concepts in Mathematics I, II & III at an additional cost). Accounts which is an asset to this programme. Applicants with a lower than a Grade 1 or A in English Language will be required to sit the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT). Alternate forms of matriculation:

Programme Outcomes: Successful candidates will develop the relevant technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform in accounting technician roles.
Entry Requirements: 4 CSEC/CXC subjects Gen. I, II, III or GCE O’ Level, A, B, C, including English Language and Accounts. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Programme overview: In this programme students will learn to use advanced features of computer applications; customize packaged software for clients; develop macros and templates for clients using standard products; design organizational documents using computing packages; locate and evaluate on line information; operate a word processing application (basic and advanced); prepare multimedia for different platforms and so on.
